Impression of Light

Online Exhibit - Dec 2022 I hope these bring you joy in seeing the light and water in a new, profoundly pleasant way.

Pierre-Auguste Renoir said, "To my mind, a picture should be something pleasant, cheerful, and pretty, yes pretty! There are too many unpleasant things in life as it is without creating still more of them."

I sincerely agree and am inspired by those sentiments and the artist movement we know as impressionism.

A study of light at a specific location at different times of the day can bring about a fantastic series of works. With every shifting hue and tone. Capturing light's beauty as it dances on the water can become a joyful obsession. Other shared ideals are creating artwork from the heart, painting moments in real life, and getting inspiration from nature. These bring me closer to seeing the Creator through his creation and are of the highest value to me. This series is October light on the west bank of Lake Helen in Florida.

Sharing an impression allows you to feel the moment with me. I hope these bring you joy in seeing the light and water in a new, profoundly pleasant way. This is my Impression.
